"Holi = Holistic, Frog = Frog".

HoliFrog at International Cosmetic

HoliFrog is more than a name or a story: it is also science.

Frogs have a thin skin. It is so soft and permeable that it absorbs everything around it. That's why they can't survive in toxic environments. Scientists even study them to monitor pollution levels. Our skin is thicker than that of frogs, but we also live in toxic environments, full of free radicals, dubious air quality and Twitter trolls. Even the thickest skin needs to take care of itself. When we wash our faces, our pores are more dilated and permeable, like a frog's. This phase of your skin care routine is essential to your skin's health and the rest of your beauty regimen. We use bioactive ingredients that deliver positive results: nothing toxic, nothing irritating. It's what thick and thin skin needs, when it needs it.

Good skin starts with a good mentality

When you're in good all-round health - you drink water, eat vegetables, wear sunscreen and moderate the time you spend on Instagram - your skin starts to behave better.

Just as frogs are part of a larger ecosystem, your skin is part of a bigger picture, which is connected to the health and functioning of your mind and body.

The mind-skin connection is how each is linked to and affected by the other. We are putting skin on the path to health with conscious, intentional ingredients that instruct skin cells to do what healthy skin cells should do. Holistic practices meet effective facial washes: we're keeping the body, mind and bathroom clean. HoliShit, right?

Meet the founders

Faces after washing
Emily Parr of HoliFrog

Emily Parr

Publicist by profession, face washer by nature

Her skin was congested from years of applying sunscreen and sweaty 10-mile runs. After more than 10 years of shopping, testing and washing her face, there wasn't a product she hadn't tried. None of them were able to clean her skin properly. After talking to friends and strangers, she realized she was not alone.

Now, you're turning your attention to one of the most overlooked parts of the beauty industry: face washes. Reviving your relationship with your first bath love, giving you the freedom to choose and your skin the freedom to function.

Majeed Hemmat

Beauty enthusiast to the core

Through her 10 years of experience, knowledge and relationships in the fashion world, she quickly made a name for herself in the beauty industry and her namesake brand management agency was born. Representing some of the fastest growing clean beauty brands in the industry and working with the world's leading retailers, she has helped build the global retail landscape for these prestigious brands.

When you know more

a better choice can be made

The brain of our business is holistic-functional skin care that considers the convergence of skin, health and function. Your skin is connected to the rest of your body and will be with you for the rest of your life. How you treat your body affects the look, feel and function of your skin, now and in the future.

Your skin may be temperamental and vulnerable, but it's still your main protector against the outside world: if your organs were organized by zodiac, your skin would definitely be a Cancer. It's affected by eight hours of sleep and eight glasses of water, work stress and in-law stress, screen time and that extra glass of wine.

Getting your skin to work, feel and look its best starts with conscious living: knowing which behaviors, attitudes and ingredients to introduce into your routine and which to leave behind. Tackle the beauty world and beyond with a clear head and a clear face.

There are two types of exfoliation: physical and chemical. Physical exfoliation consists of manually removing dead skin cells. But that doesn't mean it has to be rough. Forget the walnut shell pieces and use a damp washcloth, which can do the job gently. Chemical peels use acids to remove dead skin cells. There are many types of acids Exfoliants and they are used in different percentages, so you can customize what works best for your skin without irritating it.

Good to eat and good to go, you'll find a veritable vitamin alphabet in our products, all of which are included for their unique nutritional capabilities to help your skin function optimally. Some of our favorites are A, C, E, F, K, B...

Plants produce some of the most potent ingredients, full of fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants and emollients-you know, everything your skin cells crave. Fragrance, added or natural, can be irritating to those with sensitive skin, so we omitted it from the start. Hope you don't mind.

Did you know that a sliced apple turns brown and mealy if left outside for a while? That's due to oxidation caused by free radicals. Antioxidants fight free radicals and repair the damage they cause, which is why we include them in our formulas, to prevent skin cells from suffering a similar fate to that of apple slices, albeit much slower.

These are substances (such as cholesterol, squalene or ceramides) that mimic the connective substances between skin cells and hold them together to maintain the external structure of the skin. Obviously, your skin likes them. It must be the taste of home.

They are like little trainers for the skin cells, their support system. These cell signaling substances intervene in cellular misbehavior by encouraging skin cells to act better (and behave as a healthy skin cell would). They create a positive dialogue with other skin cells, which in turn means that the skin behaves healthier as a whole.
